Symptoms The connection between your SMART product and your Mac computer breaks for 10 seconds or more when you write on the interactive screen. The connection also breaks when you perform an orientation procedure. The “no data is being received on this port” message appears in the SMART Board software control panel. The connection can recover spontaneously, but you may need to restart your computer to reestablish the connection. Solution SMART Board software 9.7 service pack two (SP2) resolves this issue. If SMART Board software 9.5 is installed on your computer, remove it before installing version 9.7 SP2. You don’t have to remove SMART Board software 9.7 from your computer when you upgrade to version 9.7 SP2. To remove SMART Board software 9.5 from your computer • Select Macintosh HD >Applications >SMART Board Software.
