Dell E5420 Wifi Drivers

Hi, Friends have given me their Dell laptop Latitude E5420, which has barely been used. I am trying to get Wifi up and running on it but with little success. Others have tried, but they are not really very technical! From basic research, it seems like i don't have any drivers for Wifi, and also a wireless card in whichever socket (I don't want a 'dongle', so am happy to buy a card if needed).

However, I don't know how to check either of these as fact, and if there is anything else missing - For the wireless card, I have looked in the Device Manager in control panel, but don't know what I'm actually checking for. - For the Wifi driver, the Network Connections in control panel comes up with 3 options. Broadband connection (disconnected WAN Miniport (PPPOE), Broadband Connection 2 (Disconnected WAN Miniport (PPPOE) and Local Area Network (Network cable unplugged Broadcom NetExtreme Gigabit Ethernet). Please can someone help?

I'm pretty sure the laptop is missing something(s), but not sure what, and how to check what is missing. Agatha Christie Pdf Download Gratis more. Also, what do I need to actually buy, and what can I download from the net or from the Dell website?

Many thanks for your help Victor. Thanks and sorry for the delay. He is the log, hopefully it will help.

Thanks again Rick. I tried those steps and now upto Dell Warranty Status. This part I assume needs me to be on the internet with the Dell laptop. I haven't actually even tried a wired connection yet, I shall do that - just have a feeling it won't work! After entering my service tag, I can't see 'original configuration', only 'system configuration' - does that matter?

I'll try and set-up my wired connection and see what happens. I'll post here if I have issues, else hopefully we're nearly there. Unfortunately, my PC is full of Malware and exceptionally slow now, so I think it may take time. Thanks for your help. Hi Rick I've still been too busy, sorry haven't been able to do any more on this delightful little laptop!

Its my PC thats full of malware, not the laptop. I have just tried to set-up an account with SpywareHammer. They will validate and hopefully approve the account shortly. Thanks for sending that solution for malware through. I have barely been able to use my PC because of it, and as a consequence barely had access to the net. The PC is incredibly slow, so I've not been motivated to sort out the laptop using your helpful steps. Could you please confirm that the Dell warranty status stage requires me to be on the net with the laptop?

Also if 'system configuration' rather than 'original configuration' at the service tag stage matters. Many thanks again for your help.
