Cleveland Launcher Comp Driver Shaft Specs

Older club can still perform new tricks. Great Club - Tremendous Value I am an average to above average golfer (12-14 handicap) and have struggled for several years to find a driver to replace my Hogan CS3 Driver.

Despite the new technology the CS3 has remained in the bag. Several weeks ago I spotted a used 460 Comp at Golf Galaxy for $20.00 with a Grafalloy Blue stiff shaft and figured I didn't have much too loose and promptly escorted it to the checkout. Please note, both a Cleveland SL 290 & TL 310 reside in my garage and couldn't unseat the Hogan driver. Quality clubs, wasn't wild about the ultralite shaft. For me, the 460 Comp, despite its aging technology, is the best driver I have ever owned primarily due to the confidence it inspires. Higher ballflight yes, but I wouldn't characterize it as ballooning, simply greater carry distance which is wha t I've needed. The club responds to a fade but I tend to block it to the right when trying to hit a draw.

I am quite content to settle for a 270 - 290 yard drive piped down the fairway, which is what this does with regularity. Sincerely, I don't feel I would ever spend $400.00 for a new driver even if one actually measured up to the marketing. Which makes having spent $20.00 for the club so satisfying. When I purchased this driver every club in my bag was a Cleveland club because they make a solid product.

I purchased 2 drivers from their 2011 product line that didn't perform better than what I had despite the age of the club and me. Sometimes despite researching all the product reviews and the advertising claims, we can attribute some things to dumb luck. I had read reviews in the past regarding the solid performance of this club but felt the technology was too old. Don't make the same mistake - if you have an opportunity to try this club or buy this club, don't hesitate just buy it, you'll be glad you did.

It's a solid performer. Terrible accident; divorce averted! Thanks to ebay!

I am so thankful for whomever put this club on ebay! My husband had just ordered a club exactly like this one, a week before. He went out playing with it in the yard for several days, just a kid does with a new toy.

He set the box next to the trash, and living in the country, I burned the box. You guessed it-he had put the club back in the box and I burned it with the box. He was not happy. After the blaming that went back and forth I frantically searched for another club and saints be praised, I found one on ebay.

I ordered it; it came promptly; husband happy with new toy once again. I made him take out the trash this time. Thank you ebay!!! Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp Driver Very forgiving driver. Nice head design and easy to hit. I bought this driver to replace my Cleveland Launcher 400 and my distance with this new driver has increased by 15 yards.

I was initially concerned with the 460 head size but got used to it after couple rounds. I would recommend this driver to others. The only minor nuisance is slight difficulty using the head cover. Belajar Bahasa Korea Untuk Pemula Pdf To Word. The throat of head cover is small compared to the club head size and you have to pull it out with some effort. Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp Driver There's only 2 things wrong with this driver. One, Cleveland quit making it. Two, Cleveland remains a 'sleeper' company because they don't pay the big bucks to guys like Tiger, Phil and Ernie to promote their equipment.

But, when it comes to playing a first class driver that will perform as well as ANY that are out there (and better than 99% of them), it's simply amazing that it's possible to buy a club that performs this well for so little money. I realize that shaft's make most of the difference in any club. I also realize that virtually ALL of the drivers built in the last 2-3 years manage to 'crowd' the USGA limits for 'hotness'.

So, I've gotten accustomed to NOT being 'wowed' when I demo the 'newest' toy on the market. However, after a few balls with a Regular Flex 10 degree Comp, I w as amazed at it's feel, balance, weight and performance. Normally, I don't like Regular flex drivers, but for some reason, this one felt really solid and not too 'whippy' - unlike the gold Fujikura shaft that came out on the original Launcher.

Bottom line, for the money, this driver, the 460 Adam's Redline RPM Titanium and the 410 & 460 Nike Ignite drivers represent the best values on the market for players with medium club head speeds - which describes probably 75% of all golfers. Launcher Comp 460 I have to review multiple clubs here since I bought a few to try different shafts. That's really the answer. I am not a long driver, but a bit longer when using the Launcher Comp.

Matching the head with different shaft combinations has been very interesting. From what I can tell, so far the ProForce V2 shaft was on the left side of the fairway and the same club head on a Speeder 757 shaft (both stiff) usually found the right side of the fairway.

So did the Aldila NV-65S. I had 4 club combinations at the range to switch between. All of them were a bit forgiving and straighter than other drivers I've used, but there is a noticeable feel difference and significant pattern issue as well. My recommendation is to try some different shafts if yours isn't working out. This is a nice driver. Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp I have tried several other 460cc drivers and they all are ok if swung properly.

This club is pleasing to the eye and performs consistently. I have used the Cleveland 400 9.5degree for 2-3 years before buying this club. I loved the Fujikura (regular flex) shaft that was the standard shaft for the 400. The shaft in the 460 9.5 degree seems to have the same characteristics although it is different in color.

In my opinion, the shaft is the most important option in selecting a club.
